Privacy Policy

Industry-leading data security, COPPA compliance, and parent-first privacy standards for kids wearables.

Effective Date: September 1, 2026 | iKeepSafe COPPA Certified

TickTalk Tech LLC ("TickTalk," "we," "us," or "our") designs connected smartwatches, mobile software, and cellular services for children and families. As a pioneer in child safety wearables trusted by more than 300,000 families worldwide, we maintain strict privacy protocols engineered to safeguard personal information, empower parental control, and adhere to global safety standards.

1. Executive Summary & E-E-A-T Privacy Principles

Our operational commitment to privacy is governed by clear, non-negotiable boundaries designed around the security requirements of young children:

  • Zero Third-Party Advertising: We never sell, rent, or trade children's personal information to third parties, marketers, or data brokers. Targeted behavioral advertising is strictly prohibited across all smartwatches and the TickTalk Parent App.
  • Parent-First Authority: Children cannot make personal information public. All contacts, dialing permissions, and social features require direct authorization from the designated Parent Admin.
  • Minimal Data Collection: We collect only the minimum data required to deliver reliable real-time tracking, cellular communication, and safety services.
  • Bank-Grade Encryption: Data in transit and at rest is protected via end-to-end encryption over secure cloud infrastructure powered by AWS.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This policy covers data collection, usage, and retention across the complete TickTalk ecosystem:

  • TickTalk Smartwatches: Including TickTalk 4, TickTalk 5, TickTalk 6, and future cellular kids wearables.
  • TickTalk Parent App: The mobile application used by approved parents and legal guardians (iOS 15.6+ / Android 6.0+).
  • Services & Infrastructure: TickTalk Wireless, T-Cloud backup, TickTalk Radio, location-based safety tools, and customer warranty support.

3. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Account & Parent Authorization Data

When creating a primary account, parents provide basic credentials including full name, verified email address, phone number, and account password. This data authenticates account access and ensures only authorized family members can monitor or communicate with the device.

B. Child Profile & Wearable Data

Child profiles require minimal identification (such as a nickname or profile avatar). Date of birth or gender selection is optional and strictly used for tailored health step-tracking algorithms or birthday greeting features. Media files (photos, videos, voice notes) captured on the watch are stored locally or transmitted securely via encrypted pipelines.

C. Real-Time Location Tracking

To provide real-time GPS tracking, geofencing, and SOS safety alerts, TickTalk devices continuously collect location data using multi-modal positioning (GPS, Wi-Fi access point positioning, and cellular tower tri-location). This sensitive data is encrypted and accessible strictly by parent-approved accounts with Full Access permissions.

D. Communication & Call Logs

Call records, text messages, and walkie-talkie audio clips are processed exclusively to connect children with parent-approved contacts. We do not analyze message contents or audio logs for commercial profiling or automated keyword targeting.

4. Third-Party Service Providers & Infrastructure

TickTalk partners with trusted tier-one infrastructure providers to deliver cellular coverage, server uptime, and enterprise mapping. All service partners operate under contractual confidentiality obligations and security standards matching COPPA requirements:

  • Cloud Storage: Encrypted backend databases hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Cellular Network Providers: Wireless infrastructure managed by Tier-1 carrier partners (e.g., Gigs Wireless, Red Pocket) for eSIM network routing, voice minute verification, and data metering.
  • Location Services: Mapping technologies integrated via secure API connections that prohibit third-party logging of child identity profiles.

5. Parental Rights, Access & Account Deletion

Parents and legal guardians maintain total control over child personal data stored within our systems. Through the Parent App settings or direct written request to our Privacy Operations team, parents can:

  • Review, modify, or correct any stored profile information.
  • Revoke contact approvals or change access levels for secondary app users.
  • Wipe device memory remotely or execute a complete factory system reset.
  • Request immediate account deactivation and complete data destruction across cloud servers.

6. Compliance with Global Security Standards

TickTalk actively complies with global privacy legislation, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and applicable international guidelines. Regular third-party penetration testing and vulnerability assessments are conducted to prevent unauthorized system access.
